I have to say I was not looking forward to this walk after Joe and Fr Philip returned from their Mountain Leader Training with tales of blizzards and freezing conditions. However we couldn't have asked for better weather. It was absolutely beautiful as you can see from the photo and when we sat down at the top of Stickle Tarn to have Mass it felt like a summers day (well almost). The wind did pick up however and by the time we had finished Mass (holding everything down to stop it blowing away) we had to retreat to slightly lower ground and enjoyed our lunch in our big orange group shelter which was cosy!
In the end it was a fantastic walk, including a new game using reeds which I was useless at (you'll have to come along to the next one to find out what we did!)
Everyone seemed to have a great time and there was already talk about the next 'Summit' which will be in December and will hopefully involve snow!
